Odd MATE Menu Bug

The bug seems to only happen with the MATE 1.20 Main Menu applet and not the Menu Bar or Advanced Menu.

Open a terminal window. Then from the menu button launch any app such as Accessories->Character Map.

On my Debian 10 system at work the repeatable result is the window opens in the background without focus and despite having windows centered in the configuration, opens offset from center.

Several other apps launch the same way. The apps do not focus in the foreground. The problem does not happen with the Menu Bar or Advanced Menu.

While I could adapt to the Advanced Menu, despite the clutter, I never liked the Menu Bar.
