MATE Loses Color Background Support

I do not use Slackware Current as a daily driver. I run a virtual machine (VM) to keep tabs on future changes and potential breakage. In that spirit I installed the latest MATE 1.20 packages in Current.

To my surprise, in the Control Center -> Apearance -> Themes -> Customize dialog, I no longer saw a Colors tab. Was this correct or was I missing some kind of dependency?

Turns out the feature had been removed.

The GTK3 developers strike again — the usual fuster cluck. Not much the MATE developers could do.

This is what happens when developers treat software as their personal playground. The kind of nonsense that turns users cynical.

And gives free/libre software a black eye.
