MATE Panel Clock Format

The MATE clock configuration dialog lacks certain controls to customize the display.

Opening the dconf-editor allows access to creating a custom display. The clock options are found in org/mate/panel/objects/clock/prefs

Change the format field to custom. In the custom-format, try the following for a pleasant two row display:

    <span size="medium” color="#FFFFFF"><b>%l:%M %P</b>%n%a %b %e</span>

Change the color as desired.
